Felipe VI will meet with the different parties to decide which of the two candidates, the socialist Pedro S\u00e1nchez or the popular Alberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feij\u00f3o, will be in charge of forming a government<\/p>\n

The King opens from this Monday what will be his ninth round of consultations with a view to the investiture for the presidency of the Government in a scenario marked by uncertainty. Neither Pedro S\u00e1nchez nor Alberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feij\u00f3o have secured sufficient support to be able to form a government despite the recent constitution of the Cortes, which resulted in a first victory for the Socialists after Francina Armengol was elected to chair the Bureau of Congress thanks to an absolute majority, which also included the party of Carles Puigdemont, Junts per Catalunya, decisive for S\u00e1nchez to repeat government.<\/p>\n

How the round of contacts with the parties will develop<\/h2>\n

The consultations will last for two days, Monday 21 and Tuesday 22. However, some parties have already advanced that they will not present themselves. Specifically, ERC, Junts, Bildu and BNG have declined the invitation. Thus, the first to attend will be: UPN, Colacici\u00f3n Canaria, PNV and Sumar. While on Tuesday it will be the turn of the three parties with the most seats: Vox, PSOE and PP.
\nThe King will receive this Monday, from 10:30 am, Javier Esparza, from UPN, and Cristina Valido, from CC; and in the afternoon, from 4:00 pm, Aitor Esteban, from PNV, and Yolanda D\u00edaz, from Sumar. On Tuesday, also at 10:30, the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, will attend; the secretary general of the PSOE, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, at 12:00 and will close the round with N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feij\u00f3o, at 16:00.<\/div>\n
