GR 221, known as &#8220;Sa Travessa&#8221;, runs from one end of the Serra de Tramuntana to the other, from Port d&#8217;Andratx to Port de Pollen\u00e7a. A group of seasoned hikers -Alejandro S\u00e1nchez, Dani and Mario Barros, David Escobar, Miquel Estelric and Juan Ca\u00f1as- set out to do it in just four stages during Easter. This has been their adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along 164 signposted kilometres, those who dare to take on such a challenge discover the unique landscapes of &#8220;pedra en sec&#8221; of this precious corner of the Mallorcan geography. Good footwear, physical preparation and favourable weather conditions are a prerequisite to enjoy the experience to the full.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The path often runs along the coast &#8211; something that makes it unique &#8211; and combines holm oak woods and scrubland &#8211; the island&#8217;s characteristic vegetation &#8211; with historical remains and buildings of great ethnological value. No refreshment posts until you reach Esporles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Esporles &#8211; Port de S\u00f3ller: 35 km.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passes through Valldemossa and Dei\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Port de S\u00f3ller &#8211; Lluc: 40 km.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stop in S\u00f3ller for refreshments.
