Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s (PP) will be the president of the Consell de Mallorca and Vox will have the second vice-presidency of Medi Ambient, Medi rural i Esports, in an agreement reached yesterday afternoon between the two formations<\/p>\n

Vox and PP have reached an agreement to jointly govern the Consell de Mallorca. Vox will have the second vice-presidency of Medi Ambient, Medi rural i Esports, which will go to Pedro Bestard (Vox). Also a councillor of Economic Promotion and Local Development, thanks to the agreement reached with the Popular Party to govern the insular institution. This was announced yesterday by Galm\u00e9s (PP) and Bestard (Vox) at a press conference. It is a document with 185 measures that will mark the roadmap to be followed by the insular institution during this legislature.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the leader of the PP of Mallorca, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s, will be the president of the Consell, and the PP will have the first vice-presidency of Culture and Heritage. Also the executive councillors of the departments of Social Services, Territory, Mobility and Infrastructures, Presidency, Tourism, Treasury, and Public Function.<\/p>\n

First measures of government in the Consell de Mallorca<\/h2>\n

PP and Vox announced that the first measures to be adopted will be the elimination of the Bus Vao lane, the limitation of the speed to 80 kilometres per hour in the ring road and a complete audit of the IMAS will be ordered “to know what has happened and to prosecute those responsible”, about the scandal of the rapes of the underage girls under guardianship.<\/p>\n

In the Consell de Mallorca elections on 28 May, the PP won 13 seats and Vox five. The PSIB won nine seats, M\u00e9s per Mallorca four and Proposta per les Illes (PI) won two.<\/p>\n

This agreement between the PP and Vox forms part of the general pact established between the two parties<\/a> to make Margalida Prohens president of the Balearic government. Prohens is scheduled to be sworn in as president next Friday in a ceremony to be held in Sa Llotja, after she obtains a simple majority in the vote to be held in Parliament on Thursday, with Vox abstaining.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
