This morning, the PP has scheduled meetings from 10:30 am with representatives of the parties that have obtained parliamentary representation in order to close the investiture of Marga Prohens as president of the Balearic Government<\/p>\n

The PP will begin the round of meetings with the PSIB and Vox for the investiture of Marga Prohens as president of the Balearic Government at 10:30 am in the Parliament. The Popular Party has scheduled meetings from 10:30 am with representatives of the parties that have obtained parliamentary representation.<\/p>\n

Five political parties have obtained parliamentary representation. The aim is to close the meetings with guarantees that the head of the regional list and president of the party on the islands, Marga Prohens, can be sworn in as president of the Government in the coming weeks. A milestone that would be viable with a simple majority in the second vote, provided that there is a sufficient number of abstentions to prevent the votes against outnumbering the votes in favour.<\/p>\n

PP meets with Psib, Vox, M\u00e9s per Mallorca, Unidas Podemos, Sa Uni\u00f3 and M\u00e9s per Menorca<\/h2>\n

The first to get first-hand knowledge of the programme with which the politician from Campos will present herself for investiture in an attempt to form a stable government will be the Socialists and members of the current government, Iago Negueruela and Mercedes Garrido. He will then meet with the elected deputies of Vox, Jorge Campos and Patricia de las Heras. Next up will be Llu\u00eds Apesteguia and Maria Ramon, from M\u00e9s por Mallorca. And to end the day, he will meet with Cristina G\u00f3mez, of Unidas Podemos, and Lloren\u00e7 C\u00f2rdoba, of Sa Uni\u00f3 per Formentera. The meeting with Josep Castells, of M\u00e9s por Menorca, is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Prohens’ initial intention is for the Parliament to be constituted on Tuesday 20 June. The Estatut d’Autonomia (Statute of Autonomy) stipulates that it must be within 30 days of the elections, that is, before the 28th of June. In the following fifteen days, the new president of the chamber will propose the candidate for the presidency of the community, who will need the support of an absolute majority in a first vote, at least 30 deputies. Otherwise, a new vote would be called after 48 hours, in which a simple majority would be sufficient, more affirmative votes than negative votes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
