This massive fair, which depicts the medieval period through decorations from the Middle Ages, <strong>commemorates the founding of Capdepera by Jaume II in the year 1300.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The market offers a wide variety of artisan products and local foodstuffs. All this enlivened with <strong>concerts, plays, workshops, &#8216;correfocs&#8217;, &#8216;gegants&#8217; dances, and a multitude of activities for families.<\/strong>\u00a0Without a doubt, it is one of Mallorca&#8217;s favourite festivals that welcomes visitors from all corners of the island.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme<\/h2>\n<p>Some of the activities on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ajcapdepera.net\/ca\/noticies\/mercat-medieval-de-capdepera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme of the Capdepera medieval market<\/a> are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday 19th<\/strong><br \/>\n10 a.m. &#8216;El Mercat ja \u00e9s ben viu!<br \/>\n18 h Parade of musicians and jugglers announcing the official opening of the market.<br \/>\n7 p.m. In the Castell chapel, opening speech of the Medieval Market 2023 by Lluci\u00e0 Serra. Afterwards, concert by the s&#8217;Alzinar choir.21h In pla\u00e7a de la Menjua, performance by the Mallorcan group Ortiga Folk.<br \/>\n22.30 h In the Pla\u00e7a del Sitjar BOC.<br \/>\n01.00 h In pla\u00e7a de la Menjua TARRACO SURFERS, from Barcelona, close the night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>More activities of the Medieval Market<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saturday 20th<\/strong><br \/>\n10.30 h to 13.30 h. At the castle (esplanade next to the Nunis tower) medieval combat with armour from the 14th and 16th centuries.<br \/>\n10.30 h. Parade of &#8216;xeremies&#8217; of Sa Xerabanda.
