{"id":42115,"date":"2023-04-01T09:00:52","date_gmt":"2023-04-01T07:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/?p=42115"},"modified":"2023-03-29T10:21:52","modified_gmt":"2023-03-29T08:21:52","slug":"fira-dandratx-gastronomy-and-tradition-in-mallorca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/fira-dandratx-gastronomy-and-tradition-in-mallorca\/","title":{"rendered":"Fira d&#8217;Andratx: gastronomy and tradition in Mallorca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On the 1st and 2nd of April a new edition, the 39th, of the traditional Fira d&#8217;Andratx takes place with its popular Tapas Route and Gastronomic Day,<\/strong> as well as a livestock show and equestrian exhibition<\/p>\n<p>As in<a href=\"\/?p=33037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> previous editions<\/a>, crafts, livestock and industry return once again this year to the Fira d&#8217;Andratx, which is held on the 1st and 2nd of April. <strong>The fair, which dates back to 1984<\/strong>, is a showcase for the popular character and the livestock and agricultural tradition of the Mallorcan town.<strong> The Son Mas castle and the town&#8217;s promenade are the setting for a sheep, hen and domestic animal show, as well as a special tapas route and a gastronomic fair<\/strong>. Visitors can also enjoy a craft market in the gardens of the Town Hall and the adjacent streets, as well as performances by folklore groups, equestrian exhibitions and &#8220;cercaviles&#8221; (parades).<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-42108 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/fira-andratx.jpg\" alt=\"fira andratx\" width=\"537\" height=\"322\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/fira-andratx-200x120.jpg 200w, https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/fira-andratx-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/fira-andratx-400x240.jpg 400w, https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/fira-andratx.jpg 410w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Tapas Route and Gastronomic Day<\/h2>\n<p>This year, 14 establishments are taking part in the <strong>&#8220;XIV Recorregut de la Tapa&#8221; (14th Tapas Route)<\/strong>, and another 17 are located in the marquee in the town&#8217;s <strong>Pla\u00e7a Espanya<\/strong>. The route offers a wide variety of <strong>typical Mediterranean dishes, as well as &#8220;panades&#8221;, sobrasada and other traditional sausages from the island accompanied by local wine<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAs for the <strong>&#8220;X Jornada Gastron\u00f2mica&#8221;, which takes place in the Passeig de Son Mas<\/strong>, 20 establishments can be visited.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme and how to get there<\/h2>\n<p>The Andratx Town Hall has made the <a href=\"https:\/\/andratx.cat\/es\/noticias\/programa-fira-dandratx-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>programme of the event<\/strong> <\/a>available to the public on its website.
