This was announced this Monday by the President of the Government, Pedro S\u00e1nchez. <strong>The newly appointed ministers will join the Council of Ministers next Tuesday, replacing Carolina Darias and Reyes Maroto<\/strong>. Both are standing as candidates in the municipal elections on 28 May in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Madrid respectively.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez, the new Minister of Tourism, has been received with great satisfaction by the business associations of the tourism sector, both in the Balearic Islands and in Spain. <strong>Both the government and the hotel sector have welcomed his appointment<\/strong>. <strong>The president of the Balearic Executive, Francina Armengol, and the president of the hoteliers, Mar\u00eda Frontera<\/strong>, have coincided in highlighting the suitability of the deputy from the Canary Islands, who was at the head of Turespa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mi\u00f1ones, a pharmacist by profession, was until now the government delegate in Galicia. <strong>Until last September, H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez was the spokesman for the Socialists in the Spanish Congress of Deputies<\/strong>. He had previously worked in the Ministry of Industry, which he will now head, as director of Turespa\u00f1a.
