The Government and TUI have agreed to collaborate on sustainable tourism applied to terrestrial mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n

TUI and the Government of the Balearic Islands have agreed in Palma to initiate ways of collaboration in the field of tourism sustainability applied to land mobility<\/strong>. This will allow further progress in positioning the Balearic Islands as one of the most sustainable destinations in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The German tourism company is in favor of carrying out investments for hotels to dispense with plastic containers, reduce water consumption and buy local food. In addition, in terms of transport, they want to take advantage of liquid hydrogen, of autochthonous production, for terrestrial transport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Govern and TUI have visited the green hydrogen plant in Lloseta<\/strong>, which was attended by the Minister of Economic Model, Tourism and Labor, Iago Negueruela, and the CEO of TUI, Sebastian Ebel.<\/strong> They were accompanied by more than a dozen members of the board of directors of the German company, as well as executives of Enag\u00e1s and Acciona<\/strong>, companies promoting the plant in collaboration with the Government and the Government of Spain.<\/p>\n

During the visit, Negueruela explained to Ebel the importance of a plant of this type in Mallorca. Thus, it will allow the supply of clean energy to the fleet of buses of Mallorca and the EMT<\/strong>. In addition to allowing in the future to serve hydrogen to residential areas and hotel establishments. Hydrogenerators<\/strong> (hydrogen supply machines) will also be installed in the EMT depots and at the airport<\/strong>, to supply hydrogen to both rental vehicles and tourist transfers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
