The Mayor of Palma, Jos\u00e9 Hila, met this Monday with the Association of Traders and Industrialists of the Passeig Mar\u00edtim (Acoipam) to reduce the inconvenience caused to businessmen and citizens by the remodelling works on the Paseo Mar\u00edtimo. As of this Tuesday, <\/a>Palma City Council will reinforce the service of EMT line 1 and its average frequency will be reduced from 24 to 12 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EMT has reinforced the L1 bus and will run every 12 minutes. It departs from Portop\u00ed and arrives at Sindicatos via Paseo Mar\u00edtimo. The works in this area, which began on 18 November, are scheduled to last 20 months. Jos\u00e9 Hila, Mayor of Palma, held a meeting this Monday with the Association of Traders and Industrialists of Passeig Mar\u00edtim (Acoipam). In which he discussed the inconvenience caused by the remodelling of the area.<\/p>\n

New car park for 800 spaces<\/h2>\n

After the meeting, the City Council has promised to collaborate in a campaign to communicate that the Passeig Mar\u00edtim is now open so that the public can enjoy it. On the other hand, work is being carried out to soon open the new car park on the CLH site. This has a surface area of 30,000 square metres and is being fitted out with lighting, a water collection network, cleaning of the site and correction of the slope.<\/p>\n

The investment is 267,000 euros and will enable the gradual creation of up to 800 parking spaces. The first phase will provide 120 parking spaces. EMT line 1 will have a stop in this area. Previously, Autoritat Portu\u00e0ria de Balears (APB) had already opened the car park at the Golondrinas wharf to the public, with capacity for 80 vehicles. For its part, the City Council has set up a park-and-ride car park in calle Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca, with capacity for 130 parking spaces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
