The Council of Ministers today approves the removal of masks on public transport. It will remain in health and social health centres, pharmacies, dentists’ and physiotherapists’ surgeries, blood banks and assisted reproduction centres<\/h2>\n

The long-awaited day that will put an end to the use of masks on public transport is expected to come tomorrow, Wednesday. The change will come into effect when it is published in the Official State Gazette. It will continue to be used in health and social health centres, pharmacies, dentists’ and physiotherapists’ surgeries, as well as in blood banks, assisted reproduction centres, opticians’ surgeries and orthopaedic surgeries.\"emt<\/p>\n

This was explained last week by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, to the regional governments. Spain will be the last country in Europe to eliminate the need to wear masks on trains, undergrounds, buses, planes and taxis, after Germany did so last week.<\/p>\n

The modification of the Royal Decree of 19 April 2022 by which the use of masks will cease to be compulsory in public transport is approved a year after the mask ceased to be compulsory outdoors, on 10 February. A few months later, on 20 April, it ceased to be used indoors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
