Retail sales increased by an average of 8.2% in 2022, while employment in the sector increased by 6.4%, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) published Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Balearic Islands leads the ranking in retail sales for the eighth consecutive month, according to INE data published today. In the entirety of 2022, retail sales in the Islands increased by 8.2%, one point above the Canary Islands, which is in second place with 7.2%, and far from the national average of 0.8%.\"bonos<\/p>\n

Balearic Islands also records the highest increase in job creation in 2022 with a rate of 6.4%, far above the national average of 2.2%.<\/p>\n

Regarding December, the Islands are in second place in job creation with an increase of 3.1%, only behind the Canary Islands which is now in high season and records an increase of 3.3% compared to the same month last year. In terms of retail sales, these increased by 8.9% in the same month.<\/p>\n
