Until early this morning, the Balearic Islands were on yellow alert for fog banks. This morning the island woke up to an unusual sight. The fog has caused traffic to slow down on the Via Cintura in Palma and on the Ponent motorway. Several banks of fog along the Balearic capital have caused a decrease in visibility for drivers and pedestrians, who have had to pay more attention to their traffic.<\/p>\n

The AEMET is maintaining the fog warnings until after 11 am. The forecast for today is for partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are expected to remain unchanged, but daytime temperatures will fall slightly in the south of Mallorca. The wind forecast for today is light from the south.<\/p>\n

No new fog warnings are forecast for Mallorca for the next few days.<\/p>\n
