A very special time to enjoy the magic that is so characteristic of this time of year.<\/p>\n<p>A visit to the nativity scenes is one of the most popular and traditional events of the festive season. In Palma you can visit the Fundaci\u00f3 Bartolom\u00e9 March Nativity Scene, the Misericordia Nativity Scene, Cort, the Consell de Mallorca Nativity Scene and the Fundaci\u00f3 Sa Nostra Nativity Scene, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The street markets are a good option when it comes to buying Christmas presents. In Palma, a total of 194 stalls will remain open until the 6th of January 2023 from 10:00 to 21:00 in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a, Mayor, de la Puerta Pintada, la Rambla and V\u00eda Roma.<\/p>\n<p>For their part, the little ones have until the 4th of January to deposit their letters to the Three Wise Men in the Royal Mail installed in the lobby of Cort.<\/p>\n<h2>Christmas in Mallorca 2022 &#8211; 2023: Calendar of events<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Christmas Market in Puerto Portals<\/strong> turns on its lights from the 15th of December to the 7th of January with more than forty wooden stalls decorated with garlands of lights and fir trees.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anthony Blake<\/strong> presents his show &#8220;Yes! It makes sense&#8221; on the 16th of December at the Palma Auditorium at 8:00 pm. The Sala Gran hosts a stage show where choral music and carols will be the protagonists. Tickets, 2 euros.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Christmas in Mallorca 2022: traditions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The churches of Mallorca welcome <strong>the angelic voice of the sibyl<\/strong> on the 24th of December. Dressed in a wide, brightly coloured cloak, a veil and a sword, this character announces the end of the world and the birth of Jesus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Agust\u00edn &#8216;El Casta&#8217;<\/strong> returns to the Auditorium of Palma de Mallorca with his Christmas 2022 special. A classic on Mallorca&#8217;s Christmas calendar that will offer daily performances from the 25th of December until the 1st of January.<\/li>\n<li>On the 26th of December the <strong>FNG San Silvestre de Palma<\/strong>, a classic Christmas event in Mallorca, returns. Starting and finishing line at the Castell de Bellver car park at 11:00. The route is on a track and there will be two distances: 10 km (two laps of the course) and 5 km.<\/li>\n<li>Theatre show <strong>Sofa, wig and panades<\/strong>. Last comedy of Diab\u00e9ticas Aceleradas. At the Teatre Principal of Inca at 19:00 on 26th December.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Gran Cassanyes and Marie de la Mer<\/strong>, a visual magic show that combines several disciplines of the performing arts to offer a complete stage experience, comes to Inca&#8217;s Teatre Principal on 27th December, 19:00.<\/li>\n<li>Sant Lloren\u00e7 des Cardassar is hosting an <strong>Escape City<\/strong> on the 28th. It will be held at 16:00 for boys and girls from 6th grade onwards. At the end, there will be a hot chocolate with ensaimadas for the participants.<\/li>\n<li>On the 30th, the <strong>Harp and Guitar Duo<\/strong> will present a programme that seeks to reflect the richness of Latin American and European cultures through these two universal instruments. At CaixaForum Palma, at 19:00.<\/li>\n<li>The play <strong>&#8220;Zona inundable&#8221;<\/strong>, by Marta Barcel\u00f3, comes to the Audit\u00f2rium sa M\u00e0niga in Cala Millor. A show based on the floods of Sant Lloren\u00e7, at 20:00.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Festa de l&#8217;Estendard<\/strong> kicks off on the 30th of December at 19:30 in the church of Sant Miquel, with a floral offering in Plaza de Espa\u00f1a at 20:00. On the 31st at 10:15 am there will be the placing of the Estandard Reial de la Conquista de Mallorca (Royal Standard of the Conquest of Mallorca) in Plaza de Cort, followed by mass in La Seu and at 12:00 pm, a performance of La Colcada.<\/li>\n<li>The last night of the year brings 2022 to a close with the <strong>12 bells on the 31st of December<\/strong>. On this night, everyone chooses how long to extend the most classic Christmas celebration in Mallorca.<\/li>\n<li>In Alc\u00fadia, the <strong>Festa de la Nit de cap d&#8217;Any<\/strong> (New Year&#8217;s Eve Festival) will start at 23:45 with the chimes at the Porta des Moll.
