Its route starts at the airport junction to the entrance to Palma and its aim is to reorganise traffic in order to promote more sustainable mobility. The lane will be reserved for buses and taxis, as well as vehicles with 2 or more occupants to reduce the number of cars on the roads. For this reason, fines for non-compliance can be up to 200 euros.<\/p>\n<h2>What it consists of<\/h2>\n<p>The special occupancy lane consists of enabling the left lane of the Mi-19 in the direction of Palma, from kilometre point 6 + 500 (incorporation of the airport) to the entrance to Palma at kilometre point 2 + 600 on the same road. The total length of this lane will be 4.25 km. The length of this VAO bus lane from the airport to Palma will be 3.9 km and that of the bus-only section in the last 350 metres.<\/p>\n<h2>Who can use the HOV bus lane?<\/h2>\n<p>Authorised vehicles may use the HOV bus lane:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Emergency and security service vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Public and private buses.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles with 2 or more occupants.<\/li>\n<li>Taxis.<\/li>\n<li>Motorbikes.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles for people with reduced mobility.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles with zero-emission signs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Starting next week, a communication campaign will be launched with the slogan &#8220;Better together. Let&#8217;s reorganise traffic. We will all win&#8221;.
