<\/p>\nIn the first nine months of 2022, 49% more self-consumption installations have been installed than in 2021. This is confirmed by data from the Govern, which shows that in 2021 a total of 2,415 installations were installed (1,834 in Mallorca, 276 in Menorca, 286 in Ibiza and 19 in Formentera) and in the first nine months of 2022 alone 3,596 have been installed (2,831 in Mallorca, 420 in Menorca, 304 in Ibiza and 41 in Formentera). This means that so far this year 40% more power has already been installed than in the whole of 2021.<\/p>\n
The total number of self-consumption installations in the Balearic Islands at the end of the third quarter of 2022 amounts to 8,444 (6,494 in Mallorca, 1,037 in Menorca, 832 in Ibiza and 81 in Formentera). This represents an increase of 24.4 per cent over the previous quarter of the same year.<\/p>\n
In the words of the vice-president and councillor for Energy Transition, Productive Sectors and Democratic Memory, Juan Pedro Yllanes, “self-consumption installations are increasing exponentially. This means that many more people and companies are seeing their electricity bills reduced”.<\/p>\n

In terms of installed self-consumption power, 28,431 kW have already been installed in the first nine months of 2022, which is 40% more than all the power for the whole of 2021, when 17,478 kW were installed. By islands, Mallorca has installed the most power in these nine months: 21,426 kW, followed by Menorca with 3,360 kW, Ibiza with 3,310 kW and Formentera with 335 kW.<\/p>\n
The total installed power of self-consumption would be 74,498 kW in all the islands. By islands, the distribution of self-consumption power would be as follows: Mallorca would have accumulated 54.9 MW, 73.7% of the entire Balearic Islands, and an increase of 8.7% compared to the previous quarter. For its part, Menorca would accumulate 9.8 MW, 13.1% of the Balearic Islands and having increased by 0.9 MW compared to the previous quarter. Likewise, Ibiza would have 9 MW (12.1 % of the total), having increased its capacity by 0.9 MW with respect to the previous quarter. Finally, Formentera would have 0.75 MW installed (1% of the total for the islands) and would have increased its capacity by 0.1 MW with respect to the second quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the number of installations by individuals has increased by 23% compared to the last quarter of 2022, from 5,755 installations to the current 7,080. At company level, the number of installations has risen from 928 in the second quarter of 2022 to 1,072 today, an increase of 15.5% compared to the second quarter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
