In the month of August, Palma airport came close to the same number of passengers as in the same month of 2019. Son Sant Joan was the third national airport with the highest volume of passengers: a total of 4,161,847. This figure is only 2.8% less than in August 2019, the year before the pandemic. In terms of the number of operations, the airport that reached the highest number of movements in August was Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Madrid-Barajas, with a total of 31,575 (-15% over 2019), followed by Palma, with 28,838 (+0.2%). They were followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 27,779 flights (-15%); M\u00e1laga-Costa del Sol, with 15,159 (-3.1%); Ibiza, with 12,827 (+4.6%); Gran Canaria, with 9,910 (-6.6%); and Alicante-Elche Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez, with 9,795 movements, representing a decrease of 8.9% compared to the same month in 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
