Art Palma Summer is welcoming the summer with a lot of contemporary art and great enthusiasm to receive a large audience, eager to visit live exhibitions in the more than ten spaces participating in this edition of the event. This event, entirely dedicated to contemporary art and promoted by the association Art Palma Contemporani, has the collaboration of the City Council of Palma and the Consell de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Art Palma Contemporani is the association of contemporary art galleries in Palma. Since its founding in 2004, the association works with the aim of promoting the cultural life of Mallorca and bring the public and citizens closer to the proposals of art and its creators. It is currently made up of the following galleries: ABA Art Lab, CCA Andratx, Fran Reus, Horrach Moy\u00e0, Kewenig Palma, L21 Gallery, Galer\u00eda Maior, Galer\u00eda Pelaires, Pep Llabr\u00e9s Art Contemporani and Galer\u00eda Xavier Fiol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Art Palma Summer, organized by the gallery association Art Palma Contemporani, renews its commitment to culture in Mallorca<\/strong> and strengthens its position as one of the three major events of the year for contemporary art in Mallorca, along with Art Palma Brunch<\/strong> (in March) and La Nit de l’Art<\/strong> (in September).<\/p>\n

The Art Palma Summer edition will be held on June 9 from 6 to 9 pm<\/h3>\n

The proposals of the associated galleries, in several cases, include multiple projects, both in the form of solo exhibitions and curated group exhibitions, in their spaces.
\nThis edition, to be held on Thursday, June 9 from 6 to 9 p.m<\/strong>., emphasizes the multiplicity and quality of the exhibition proposals that include artists with a long career, with international backgrounds, but also emerging and local artists.<\/p>\n

In this edition, almost 40 artists of different nationalities, generations and plastic languages come together in multiple proposals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There is a significant presence of projects led by women artists<\/strong>. In terms of the international tour of the artists, it is worth mentioning the exhibitions of Rebecca Horn<\/strong>, Saskia Noor van Imhoff<\/strong>, as well as the projects of Mariu Palacios<\/strong> with Cecilia Paredes<\/strong> and, finally, Carla and Marta Cascales Alimbau<\/strong>. Also noteworthy is the high visibility of Balearic artists<\/strong>, such as Susy Gomez<\/strong>, F\u00e1tima de Juan<\/strong>, or well established on the island, such as Ana Laura Al\u00e1ez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The exhibition offers a wide variety of expressive languages such as painting, installations, photography, sculpture and video. We find numerous styles, from those with more historical resonances, figurative, abstract to proposals more attentive to the socio-economic dynamics.<\/p>\n
