Fangoria, the band formed by Alaska and Nacho Canut, will offer a concert together with the Nancys Rubias on August 26 at the old Calvi\u00e0 Aquapark. Before this long-awaited recital, the singer answered Mallorca Caprice’s questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"entrevista<\/p>\n

– We would like to investigate a bit about your relationship with Mallorca. Have you been to the island a lot? What do you like the most about it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Apart from the concerts, which is what we have always done because we have never been as tourists, I have great moments. The first was when Pepe Tous hired Pegamoides. We acted in the bullring and I met Sara Montiel, in 1982, which was wonderful. And then I get in touch with the whole world of Diab\u00e9ticas Aceleradas, who are our anchor with the island. Pep and Joan are like family. Also the Flexas bar with Terremoto and Fernando Estrella. This on the one hand and on the other, that fantastic world that Mallorca has that suddenly Estrella, who is from Utrera, or Pepa end up living there and forming part of the island.<\/p>\n

– Mallorca for many is synonymous with sun, but since you don’t like it too much… what would be your alternative plan for a week in Mallorca?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– In Mallorca there is a great alternative plan, because it has a wonderful mountain. I remember those first years of concerts, in ’82, when I discovered Son Vida. I would also really like to discover Dei\u00e0 for a romantic thing with the writer Robert Graves, the painter Mati Klarwein and all those people who lived there. I really like the beach, what I don’t like is the sun, but I could go in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

– Fangoria has been a group for 33 years, however many still know you as Alaska. Have you ever been tempted to fly solo?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Not never ever. Neither on my own initiative nor by external push.<\/p>\n

– How would you explain the type of music Fangoria makes to those who don’t know the group?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Very easy: it’s electronic, electronic pop, electronic rock… In short, everything you can mix with electronics.<\/p>\n

– What can the public expect from the concert that Fangoria will give in Mallorca?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Summer concerts are never an album presentation. They have a much more open repertoire, ranging from the latest single you’ve released to previous Fangoria hits and even moments before the group. Our live presentation is always something that we try to be very dynamic, without slow songs, with a dance team, video projections… And trying to make it as if you were in a disco, but on top of that you can see something on stage.<\/p>\n

– “Dramas y comedias”, “Momentismo absoluto” and now “Mi burbuja vital”. To what extent are your lyrics almost a therapy for those who listen to your songs?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– It’s not the intention, but each one of us takes the lyrics we listen to to our own and some lyrics make it easier for you than others. Some lead you directly to a situation more towards the positive than towards the negative, although we are very much of both. These are three light moments of our lyrics, but you could also choose three completely dark moments that have nothing to do with what we’re talking about.<\/p>\n

– Rosal\u00eda, Joan Manuel Serrat, Christina Aguilera, Maluma, Muse, Estopa, Fito, Marc Anthony, Manolo Garc\u00eda, Lola \u00cdndigo\u2026 This is going to be the summer of concerts in Mallorca. Which one would you go to?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– I would love to see the Rosal\u00eda show. Maluma I think he should also wear a super show. I would very much like to see J. Balvin, but I think he will not go. I saw C Tangana in Mexico and I loved it. I like people who do things thinking on stage. Muse have been very impressive in many of their live performances, when they made a stage out of cubes\u2026 I’m from Kiss; Give me a show, a good show and people dressed… Not because they dress to go on stage, but because they normally think that dressing is part of who they are. That’s the kind of show I might like.<\/p>\n

– Which album can’t you stop listening to right now?<\/strong><\/p>\n

-Right now I’m a little obsessed with Marc Segu\u00ed, especially I listen to his playlist, where I’m discovering many things that I like.<\/p>\n
