The president of the Balearic Government, Francina Armengol, explained that the new tourist law of the Balearic Islands will lay the foundations to convert the archipelago into a circular destination and that it will imply important improvements in the quality of work.<\/p>\n
In a colloquium panel organized by Exceltur, within the framework of the Fitur tourism fair, in which the reality of public-private cooperation in tourism management has been addressed, Armengol has indicated that, on the one hand, the law “puts in value to the workers in the sector, with measures such as the one that requires the replacement of all beds with liftable beds\u201d, and on the other seeks to improve \u201cthe relationship of tourism with the resident and with the territory that hosts this tourism\u201d.<\/p>\n
With the new law, companies will have to have a circularity plan, evaluate their management of resources, as is the case with energy and water, and make use of more environmentally sustainable systems, as is the case with substitution of fuel boilers for other boilers with more efficient systems.<\/p>\n
In addition, she has recalled that all these measures will be carried out with “support through European funds” and has stated that 55 million of these funds will be distributed directly to companies to help them make these changes a reality.<\/p>\n
The colloquium, which has been entitled \u00abDo we really cooperate?
