Given the proximity of the celebration of Sant Sebasti\u00e0, patron saint of Palma, the Balearic Government came out to ask the public for prudence and precaution amid the rise in infections and after having closed four premises due to excess capacity at the Sant Antoni festival that It was held in the interior of Mallorca.<\/p>\n
The Government of the Balearic Islands insists on calling for precaution and individual and collective responsibility because the virus continues among us and risks must be avoided.<\/p>\n
In fact, from the General Directorate of Emergencies and the Interior, together with the tourism inspection body of the Consell de Mallorca and the local police, actions have been carried out within the framework of their powers to ensure compliance with the COVID regulations.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the actions coordinated by the Government have focused on the eve of Sant Antoni in the municipalities that live this tradition and that had canceled it, such as Art\u00e0, Sa Pobla, Muro, Manacor, Sant Lloren\u00e7 and Pollen\u00e7a. As a result of the inspections carried out, several minutes have been drawn up and four establishments that did not comply with the maximum permitted capacity were closed.<\/p>\n
In this sense, the Minister of Health, Patricia G\u00f3mez, explained that the possible spontaneous crowds at the Sant Sebasti\u00e0 festivities can be worrying given the images of this weekend in towns such as Sa Pobla.<\/p>\n
