The Health Service opens vaccination to the population over 18 years of age so that they can receive the booster dose against COVID-19, as determined by the National Vaccination Strategy of the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n
In the Balearic Islands there is a target population of 18 to 39 years without a booster dose of 160,995 people. Of these, 122,856 are from Mallorca, 14,072 from Menorca, 22,495 from Ibiza and 1,572 from Formentera.<\/p>\n
The conditions that must be met in order to receive the booster dose are being over 18 years of age, having received the complete vaccination schedule against COVID-19 and that at least five months have passed since the last dose in the cases of Pfizer or Modern or three months if it is Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) or Janssen.<\/p>\n
In addition, people who have passed the infection have to wait four weeks to be vaccinated with the booster dose.<\/p>\n

To date, the booster dose vaccination campaign has already vaccinated 54.4% of the target population. Currently, vaccination coverage for those over 5 years of age is 86%. 26.49% of boys and girls between 5 and 11 years old have already received the vaccine.<\/p>\n
