The Ministry of Health and Consum reminds that, as of February 1, the COVID certificate will expire nine months after obtaining the complete vaccination schedule and that, to maintain its validity, it will be necessary to get the booster dose.<\/p>\n
This measure will affect all the people who have received the complete guideline before May 1 and so on consecutively.<\/p>\n
Salut urges the population over 40 years of age who have not yet received the booster dose and who were vaccinated before May 1 to do so in the coming days so as not to lose the validity of the COVID certificate.<\/p>\n
Taking into account the indications of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, on December 21, 2021, the European Commission approved establishing a mandatory acceptance period of 270 days for the COVID certificate.<\/p>\n
Likewise, it modified the coding rules of the certificates so that the vaccination certificates that demonstrate the completion of the complete schedule can always be distinguished from the vaccination certificates issued after a booster dose.<\/p>\n
Booster doses will be recorded as follows:<\/p>\n
3\/3 for a booster dose after a full two-dose regimen.<\/p>\n
2\/1 for a booster dose after a single-dose vaccination schedule or after a two-dose vaccination given to a recovered person.<\/p>\n
It should be remembered that since January 10, vaccination with a booster dose is open to all people over 40 years of age in the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n
The conditions to be met in order to receive the booster dose are being between 40 and 49 years old, having received the complete COVID-19 vaccination schedule and at least six months have passed since the last dose in the cases of Pfizer or Moderna or three months for Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) or Janssen.<\/p>\n
In addition, people who have passed the infection have to wait four weeks to be vaccinated with the booster dose.<\/p>\n
