Paseo del Born, in Palma, is one of the most beautiful streets in Spain. This is stated by the official Spanish tourism portal, spain.info, which places the Palma avenue among other well-known roads such as the Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bthe Gran V\u00eda in Madrid or the Calleja de las Flores, In C\u00f3rdoba.<\/p>\n

The beautiful Palma avenue connects the well-known Plaza de Juan Carlos I (or ‘de las Tortugas’) with the Plaza de la Reina, where the imposing figure of the Almudaina palace and the gardens of s’Hort del Rei burst into view. Decorated at Christmas time with its characteristic Christmas lights and ponsetias, the Paseo del Born is one of those streets through which it is essential to walk on any visit to Palma. Concerts, cultural events or the traditional ‘correfocs’ of the Sant Sebasti\u00e0 festivities are other events that take place in this street.<\/p>\n

Shops converge on Paseo del Born, from Zara, whose building was formerly occupied by the popular Born Cinema, to Rolex; restaurants and bars, from Bar Bosch to the McDonald’s franchise, as well as museums like Casal Solleric.<\/p>\n

The promenade, designed by the Madrid architect Isidro Gonz\u00e1lez, was built on the old bed of the Sa Riera stream. Today it is one of the most vibrant and social streets in Palma. In the months when the bars were closed, many citizens have spent the afternoon on their benches. Currently, it is the setting for the exhibition \u201cMallorca a casa\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, the photographic collection on lockdown promoted by the Mallorca Global communication agency.<\/p>\n
