The voice of the Sybyl, a Gregorian a cappella chant, can\u00a0be heard in most of Majorca\u2019s churches the night before\u00a0the birth of Jesus. This liturgical celebration has its origins\u00a0in the Middle Ages and was declared an Intangible\u00a0Cultural\u00a0 Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010.<\/p>\n
The commemoration of the entry of the troops of Jaume\u00a0I in Palma on December 31, 1229 will be held this year in\u00a0a reduced format and will not be open to the public. La\u00a0Colcada will be replaced on this occasion by a broadcast\u00a0on the City Council YouTube channel of an interpretation\u00a0of previous years.<\/p>\n

Due to the current pandemic situation, this year\u2019s Parade\u00a0of the Kings will be in digital format. The Three Kings will\u00a0arrive at Moll Vell on the night of January 5 and there will\u00a0be a parade without an audience that can be followed\u00a0live on IB3 television.<\/p>\n
2021 will begin with the traditional Adoraci\u00f3 dels Tres\u00a0Reis d\u2019Orient in Ses Voltes on January 6. Bernat Pujol will\u00a0be in charge of updating and directing Lloren\u00e7 Moy\u00e0\u2019s\u00a0work for another year.<\/p>\n
On January 16 and 17, one of Mallorca\u2019s most deeplyrooted festivals returns, linked to the island\u2019s agricultural\u00a0roots. Sa Pobla, Manacor, Art\u00e0, Pollen\u00e7a, Muro and Palma\u00a0celebrate Sant Antoni, with the dimonis and foguerons as\u00a0the main protagonists. The Bene\u00efdes de Sant Antoni fill\u00a0the streets with animals that receive the priestly blessing.<\/p>\n
The festivities of the patron saint of Palma will be\u00a0decentralized so that citizens can continue to enjoy,\u00a0despite the restrictions, different cultural activities during\u00a0this festivity, which begins on the night of January 19 with\u00a0the Revetla de Sant Sebasti\u00e0.<\/p>\n
