Photo: C.I.M.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to figures released by the <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>, the island will receive <strong>63.88% of the geographically allocated funds<\/strong> under the ITS 2026-2027 Annual Plan, excluding island-wide initiatives such as those linked to <strong>responsible tourism and efforts to combat unlicensed operators and illegal tourist accommodation<\/strong>. Of the 33 planned projects, seven will be managed by the Consell, while the remaining 26 will be undertaken by local councils in 13 municipalities.<\/p>\n<h2>Consell projects funded by the ecotax<\/h2>\n<p>The Consell de Mallorca&#8217;s investments focus particularly on heritage restoration and landscape conservation. The main announced projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F\u00e0brica Nova de S\u00f3ller:<\/strong> restoration work on this historic building, with an investment of \u20ac1.4 million.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Son Fadrinet, in Campos:<\/strong> restoration of the early Christian archaeological site, with more than \u20ac1.5 million.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Church of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Soledad:<\/strong> restoration and refurbishment of the building, with a budget of \u20ac1.5 million.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GEORUTAS in the Serra de Tramuntana:<\/strong> digitalisation of heritage routes to improve understanding of the area, with more than \u20ac1.3 million.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Serra de Tramuntana landscape:<\/strong> conservation of the mosaic landscape through active management measures, with \u20ac1.8 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The list of initiatives also includes drafting the plans for two homes in the GESA residential settlement in Aucanada.<\/p>\n<h2>Municipal investment focuses on water networks and urban renewal<\/h2>\n<p>Local councils will undertake <strong>26 projects across 13 municipalities<\/strong>: Alar\u00f3, Calvi\u00e0, Estellencs, Llucmajor, Montu\u00efri, Muro, Palma, Sant Lloren\u00e7 des Cardassar, Santa Margalida, Selva, ses Salines, Son Servera and Vilafranca de Bonany.<\/p>\n<p>A significant proportion of the projects will focus on improving drinking water supplies, sewerage systems and the efficiency of municipal facilities. The announced projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alar\u00f3:<\/strong> renewal of water networks and improvements to water infrastructure in carrers Petit and Alexandre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muro:<\/strong> renewal of drinking water and sewerage networks in the ses Fotges area of Playa de Muro.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Selva:<\/strong> replacement of water networks in carrers de la Noblesa and de sa Creu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Son Servera:<\/strong> installation of remotely readable water meters throughout the municipality to improve water consumption monitoring.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Santa Margalida:<\/strong> modernisation of the entire water management cycle and sustainable urban transformation in Son Baul\u00f3.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vilafranca de Bonany:<\/strong> installation of a drinking water treatment plant and a facility to remove nitrates from the waste stream generated by reverse osmosis treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These investments will be complemented by sustainable urban renewal projects in <strong>Sant Lloren\u00e7 des Cardassar and Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi, in ses Salines<\/strong>, aimed at improving streets and municipal services.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these 33 projects, the ITS Annual Plan includes 17 initiatives covering the Balearic Islands as a whole that could benefit Mallorca, particularly in water management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable mobility and tourism quality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mallorca will receive \u20ac113.8 million from the Sustainable Tourism Tax <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/ecotasa-mallorca-proyectos-2026-2027\/\"> [&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":159283,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1515],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-159313","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economy-and-tourism"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
