The restrictions will apply <strong>between 22:00 and 6:00<\/strong>, while the tunnel will remain open at weekends.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-158925 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tunel-de-Soller-1-e1792152096191.webp\" alt=\"S\u00f3ller tunnel\" width=\"1000\" height=\"668\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tunel-de-Soller-1-e1792152096191-768x513.webp 768w, https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Tunel-de-Soller-1-e1792152096191.webp 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong> is investing <strong>\u20ac700,000<\/strong> in these works, which aim to improve safety in the tunnel. During the closures, drivers will have to use the <strong>Coll de S\u00f3ller road (Ma-11A)<\/strong> as an alternative route.<\/p>\n<h2>S\u00f3ller tunnel closure times and authorised vehicles<\/h2>\n<p>The traffic restrictions will apply as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dates:<\/strong> from 19 October to 19 November 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Days:<\/strong> Monday to Thursday nights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Times:<\/strong> from 22:00 to 6:00.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weekends:<\/strong> the tunnel will remain open to traffic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternative route:<\/strong> Coll de S\u00f3ller road (Ma-11A).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the works, <strong>ambulances, fire engines, police vehicles and other emergency vehicles<\/strong>, as well as <strong>TIB buses<\/strong>, will be allowed through. All other vehicles must use the Coll de S\u00f3ller road during the closure hours.<\/p>\n<h2>What work will be carried out in the S\u00f3ller tunnel?<\/h2>\n<p>The main work involves replacing the existing signage panels inside the tunnel with new ones.<\/p>\n<p>The drainage systems in both the S\u00f3ller tunnel and the <strong>sa Mola tunnel<\/strong> will also be cleaned to prevent flooding ahead of the heavy rainfall season. In addition, annual inspections of the safety and ventilation systems will be carried out.<\/p>\n<h2>Overnight closures of the Son Vic tunnel<\/h2>\n<p>Separately, the <strong>Son Vic tunnel<\/strong> will be closed overnight <strong>from 18 to 19 October and from 19 to 20 October<\/strong> for cleaning and maintenance of its safety systems.<\/p>\n<p>The Consell de Mallorca expects the first closure to be shorter, while the second will last throughout the night.
