The project will also include <strong>green spaces and walking areas<\/strong>, <strong>sports and children&#8217;s areas<\/strong>, a <strong>large LED screen<\/strong> and the possibility of building an <strong>underground car park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"93\" data-end=\"474\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-158258 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Parc-de-la-Musica-de-Palma.webp\" alt=\"Parc de la M\u00fasica in Palma\" width=\"1000\" height=\"608\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"723\">The new park will be linked to the future <strong data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"543\">Caixa de la M\u00fasica (Music Centre)<\/strong>, home of the <strong data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"600\">Orquestra Simf\u00f2nica de les Illes Balears<\/strong>, and both spaces will form part of the <strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"674\">Palma Culture and Innovation Bay<\/strong>, which is being developed mainly in Nou Llevant. The amphitheatre will expand Palma&#8217;s open-air music offering and host concerts and other cultural activities <strong>throughout the year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1eswn39\" data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"766\">What Palma&#8217;s Parc de la M\u00fasica will be like<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"933\">The project envisages an open public space with native vegetation and different areas for leisure, sport, culture and community gatherings in Palma.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"935\" data-end=\"991\">The main planned features include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1410\">\n<li data-section-id=\"63uc4d\" data-start=\"1050\" data-end=\"1119\">A stage and seating area with approximately 680 seats.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fols7h\" data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1167\">An LED screen measuring 19.2 by 6.72 metres.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1889ao2\" data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1224\">Green spaces, gardens and areas for walking and relaxing.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"a5nr1c\" data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1259\">A caf\u00e9, bar, terrace and toilets.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"2axixn\" data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1278\">A children&#8217;s playground.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1jenztv\" data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1326\">A calisthenics area and exercise space.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"vpmr8h\" data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1346\">A climbing area.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"us4fa5\" data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1388\">Table tennis tables and p\u00e9tanque courts.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"edkqrt\" data-start=\"1389\" data-end=\"1410\">A water feature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1641\">The new park in Nou Llevant will therefore combine cultural uses with facilities designed for residents&#8217; everyday use. The proposal also includes the possibility of creating an underground car park with around <strong data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1822\">285 spaces per level<\/strong>, which could serve the entire area and operate as a park-and-ride facility for the city.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1i9ie4n\" data-start=\"1933\" data-end=\"1990\">Open-air concerts next to the Caixa de la M\u00fasica<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2164\">The amphitheatre will host open-air concerts in Palma and other cultural activities, complementing the facilities planned for the Caixa de la M\u00fasica.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2166\" data-end=\"2494\">The future home of the Simf\u00f2nica will include, among other spaces, a <strong data-start=\"2236\" data-end=\"2308\">main auditorium for 750 people and a chamber hall for another 100<\/strong>. The combination of the two facilities will allow programmes of different formats and sizes to be staged both indoors and outdoors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2496\" data-end=\"2736\">The Parc de la M\u00fasica forms part of the <strong data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2569\">Palma Culture and Innovation Bay<\/strong>, the innovation district being developed mainly in Nou Llevant, with culture, innovation, the blue economy and sustainability among its key areas.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"m0xz6h\" data-start=\"2403\" data-end=\"2482\">Antonio Obrador donates the Parc de la M\u00fasica project to Palma<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2484\" data-end=\"2862\">Palma City Council has received the architectural and landscaping project for the park free of charge. It was developed by <strong data-start=\"2607\" data-end=\"2634\">Estudio Antonio Obrador<\/strong> from a vision initially conceived together with <strong data-start=\"2675\" data-end=\"2691\">Pablo Mielgo<\/strong>. Mayor <strong data-start=\"2705\" data-end=\"2731\">Jaime Mart\u00ednez Llabr\u00e9s<\/strong> and architect <strong data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"2768\">Antonio Obrador<\/strong> signed the agreement on Tuesday through which the studio is donating the project to the municipality.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2864\" data-end=\"3234\">Mart\u00ednez thanked the studio for the donation and said the project would help create &#8220;a <strong>new landmark space<\/strong>&#8221; for both Nou Llevant and Palma as a whole. The mayor highlighted that the combination of the Parc de la M\u00fasica and the Caixa de la M\u00fasica would &#8220;turn this area into a <strong>new meeting place for residents<\/strong> while also <strong>bringing music and culture<\/strong> closer to everyone&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3474\" data-end=\"3879\">Mart\u00ednez also placed the project within the city&#8217;s strategy to expand and diversify Palma&#8217;s cultural offering and increase its green spaces.
