The acquisition represents an investment of <strong>\u20ac1.1 million<\/strong>, financed entirely through the <strong>Sustainable Tourism Tax<\/strong> (ITS). The transaction was authorised by the Governing Council on 31 July.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-157350 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Finca-Es-Bosch.webp\" alt=\"Es Bosch estate in Escorca\" width=\"1000\" height=\"556\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The land is located near the <strong>Torrent de Pareis Natural Monument<\/strong>, one of the areas of <strong>greatest natural and scenic value in Mallorca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Es Bosch estate in Escorca to become part of the public estate<\/h2>\n<p>The acquisition forms part of the regional government&#8217;s strategy to <strong>increase the amount of publicly owned land in areas of environmental interest<\/strong>. The aim is to facilitate conservation and protect biodiversity, while also promoting public use that is compatible with the area&#8217;s natural values.<\/p>\n<p>The location of the Es Bosch estate in Escorca is particularly significant because of its proximity to the Torrent de Pareis. Bringing this land into public ownership will allow the authorities to manage it directly and plan its conservation.<\/p>\n<p>The Balearic Government maintains that these acquisitions should also allow the public to enjoy the natural heritage. Access, however, will need to be managed responsibly and adapted to the characteristics of each area.<\/p>\n<h2>More than 650 hectares acquired in other operations<\/h2>\n<p>The purchase follows other acquisitions of land for the regional public estate during the current parliamentary term. Among the most significant are <strong>Son Jaumell, Cala Torta, Cala Mitjana and Cala Estreta<\/strong>, within the Llevant Peninsula Natural Park. Together, the four estates cover <strong>583.9 hectares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Balearic Government also acquired <strong>sa Bastida, in Alar\u00f3<\/strong>, a rural estate covering approximately 72 hectares. The purchase amounted to \u20ac1.5 million, also financed through the ITS. The estate includes protected areas, archaeological features and native biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p>In Menorca, two estates at <strong>sa Boval Vella<\/strong>, located within the s&#8217;Albufera des Grau Natural Park, have also been acquired. In this case, the land covers 3.8 hectares.<\/p>\n<p>Through these acquisitions, the regional government aims to increase its capacity to directly manage and conserve natural areas of particular interest.
