John Newman<\/strong> and Rudimental DJ<\/strong> will headline the main concert of the Festes de la Patrona de Palma 2026 (Palma Patron Saint Festivities 2026)<\/strong>, which will take place on Saturday 5 September at Parc de la Mar<\/strong>. The event will be free<\/strong> and will also feature Freenipples, Lady Gosya, \u00c1lex Losa and Isaac Indart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event, called Patrona<\/em>, will begin at 19:00 and run until 02:00<\/strong>. The concert forms part of the festivities honouring the Mare de D\u00e9u de la Salut (Virgin of Health), Palma’s patron saint alongside Sant Sebasti\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Palma City Council launched this major musical event as part of the celebrations last year. Its first edition attracted more than 32,000 people<\/strong> to the area around Parc de la Mar.<\/p>\n

John Newman and Rudimental DJ headline the line-up<\/h2>\n

British singer John Newman<\/strong> will arrive in Palma with a career marked by international hits such as Love Me Again<\/em> and Feel the Love<\/em>. His music combines pop, soul and R&B with elements of electronic music.<\/p>\n

Newman has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Tomorrowland and Reading & Leeds. He has also received accolades including BMI London Awards and a UK Music Video Award.<\/p>\n

The other major name on the bill is Rudimental DJ<\/strong>, featuring Piers Agget and DJ Locksmith (Leon Rolle). Their music blends drum and bass, soul, house, garage and pop.<\/p>\n

The British act has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, S\u00f3nar, Reading & Leeds and Arenal Sound. Their career also includes accolades such as a Brit Award and a MOBO Award.<\/p>\n

Four artists linked to the Balearic music scene<\/h2>\n

The Patrona de Palma 2026 concert will also feature Freenipples, Lady Gosya, \u00c1lex Losa and Isaac Indart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Isaac Indart has almost 30 years of experience as a DJ and producer on Mallorca’s electronic music scene. \u00c1lex Losa, founder of M\u00f8rk, was named Best Techno DJ at the 2025 MEM Awards.<\/p>\n

Mara Escrich, known artistically as Freenipples, combines indie pop, garage rock and electronic music. She has performed at events including Sonorama Ribera and Benidorm Fest.<\/p>\n

Completing the line-up is Lady Gosya, a Ukrainian-born pianist and DJ based in Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Passeig Mar\u00edtim to close to traffic again<\/h2>\n

The concert will repeat one of the most notable features of the first edition. The six lanes of Passeig Mar\u00edtim will be closed to traffic<\/strong> to provide more space for the public around Parc de la Mar.<\/p>\n

This year’s event will also run later, until 02:00. The stage will be 18 metres wide and 12 metres deep<\/strong>, with 240 square metres of screens.<\/p>\n

The venue will have bars, food trucks<\/strong> and an accessible viewing platform for people with reduced mobility<\/strong>. For safety reasons, glass containers will not be permitted. Palma City Council will also reinforce mobility, cleaning and security services.<\/p>\n

The event will be organised by Grup Trui Mallorca SL<\/strong>. Palma City Council’s Governing Board has awarded the company the contract to organise the event for \u20ac242,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
