The Festes de La Beata 2026 de Valldemossa<\/strong> will be held from 17 to 28 July<\/strong> with a programme that combines tradition, music, culture, sport and activities for all ages. For almost two weeks, the municipality will pay tribute to Santa Catalina Tom\u00e0s<\/strong>, the only saint born in Mallorca, with some of the most representative events in the island\u2019s festive calendar.<\/p>\n

The programme will begin on 17 July<\/strong> with a theatre performance. It will continue with eagerly awaited events such as the proclamation of the Hereva<\/strong> (Festival Queen) and the Damas d’Honor<\/strong> (Maids of Honour), the Preg\u00f3<\/strong> (opening proclamation) of the festivities and a major Revetlla<\/strong> (open-air evening celebration) in the Pla\u00e7a de Cartoixa. There will also be traditional Cercaviles<\/strong> (street parades), the paella competition, the Sopar de carrers a la fresca<\/strong> (open-air street dinner), children\u2019s activities, sports competitions, open-air cinema and concerts for all audiences.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights will take place on 27 July<\/strong>, with the mass and the Process\u00f3 solemne<\/strong> (solemn procession) in honour of Santa Catalina Tom\u00e0s, followed by Tomeu Penya\u2019s concert. However, the main day will be 28 July<\/strong>. The day will begin with the traditional Cercavila<\/strong>, continue with the solemn mass and end at night with the departure of the emblematic Carro Triomfal<\/strong> (Triumphal Float), accompanied by the Beateta<\/strong> (young girl portraying La Beata, the popular name of Saint Catalina Tom\u00e0s), the Cort d’Angelets<\/strong> (Court of Little Angels), music bands and the Xeremiers de Sa Garriga<\/strong>. This parade, declared an Asset of Intangible Cultural Interest, is the most representative event of the festivities and one of the symbols of Valldemossa.<\/p>\n
