The Patrona de Pollen\u00e7a 2026<\/strong> (Pollen\u00e7a’s patron saint festivities) will once again turn the municipality into one of Mallorca\u2019s major summer celebrations. From 24 July to 2 August<\/strong>, Pollen\u00e7a will enjoy ten days filled with tradition, concerts, open-air dances, popular activities and events for all ages.<\/p>\n

The highlight will come on 2 August<\/strong>, the feast day of the Mare de D\u00e9u dels \u00c0ngels<\/strong> (Our Lady of the Angels), with the hugely popular Simulacre de Moros i Cristians<\/strong> (Mock Battle of Moors and Christians), the historical re-enactment that recreates the defence of the town against the attack by the corsair Dragut in 1550 and stands as the festival\u2019s most representative event.<\/p>\n

Patrona de Pollen\u00e7a 2026 will fill the streets with celebration<\/h2>\n

Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a programme that combines tradition, culture and leisure. The festivities include the opening speech, canonades<\/em> (ceremonial cannon salutes), performances by the cossiers<\/em> (traditional Mallorcan folk dancers), concerts, revetles<\/em> (open-air evening festivities), children\u2019s activities, sporting events, lectures, community gatherings and religious ceremonies in honour of Pollen\u00e7a\u2019s patron saint.<\/p>\n

Music will once again play a leading role, with outdoor performances and several revetles<\/em>, while events such as the Nit de l’Alborada<\/strong> (Night of the Dawn), the Marcha Fresca i Fresketa<\/strong> and the Dragut Fest<\/strong> will help create the festive atmosphere that defines these celebrations.<\/p>\n

The Simulacre de Moros i Cristians, the great day of the Patrona<\/h2>\n

2 August<\/strong> brings together the most eagerly awaited events of the Patrona de Pollen\u00e7a 2026<\/strong>. From early morning, the town comes alive with the Alborada<\/strong> (dawn celebration) and religious ceremonies in honour of the Mare de D\u00e9u dels \u00c0ngels.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon comes the most anticipated moment with the Simulacre de Moros i Cristians<\/strong>, a spectacular historical re-enactment in which hundreds of participants portray the victory of the pollencins<\/em> (people of Pollen\u00e7a), led by Joan Mas, over the troops of the corsair Dragut. Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest, this re-enactment attracts thousands of spectators to the streets of the town every year.<\/p>\n
