The most magical night of the year will once again bring thousands of people together in Parc de la Mar. The celebration of Nit de Sant Joan 2026 in Palma (St John’s Eve, Mallorca\u2019s traditional midsummer celebration)<\/strong>, organised by the Federaci\u00f3 d\u2019Associacions de Ve\u00efns<\/strong> with the collaboration of Palma City Council<\/strong>, will take place on 23 June<\/strong> and feature a programme combining popular culture, fire shows, music and activities for all ages.<\/p>\n

The celebration will begin at 8:00 pm<\/strong> with the lighting of the traditional foguer\u00f3<\/em><\/strong> (bonfire) using the Flama de la Llengua<\/strong> and will continue with a programme designed for all ages. Children will have their own space with a children\u2019s correfoc<\/strong><\/em> (fire parade) featuring the colles<\/em> (troupes) Enfocats, Kinfumfa, Patits Encabritats and Realment Cremats.<\/p>\n

As the evening progresses, the spotlight will fall on some of the most deeply rooted expressions of Mallorcan popular culture. The group Al-Mayurqa<\/strong> will bring rhythm to the evening with a performance of ball de bot <\/em><\/strong>(traditional Mallorcan folk dance), while this year\u2019s opening speech<\/strong> will include a touch of humour thanks to a satirical monologue by Santi Li\u00e9bana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The correfoc<\/em> and Xanguito will bring the night to a close<\/h2>\n

One of the most eagerly awaited moments will arrive with the traditional correfoc<\/strong><\/em>, which will once again fill the surroundings of Parc de la Mar with sparks, drums and dimonis<\/strong><\/em> (devils). This year\u2019s edition will feature the colles<\/em> Enfocats, Realment Cremats, Kinfumfa, Ses Germanies, Illa Galera and Male\u00efts Encabritats. Alongside them will parade some of Mallorca\u2019s most emblematic b\u00e8sties de foc <\/strong><\/em>(fire beasts), including Drac i Guardians de Sant Jordi, \u00d2liba de la Real and Es Drac de na Coca, the stars of a spectacle that attracts thousands of people every year.<\/p>\n

Music will provide the finale to Nit de Sant Joan 2026 in Palma. Mallorcan band Xanguito<\/strong> will bring the celebration to a close with a concert that will round off a night marked by fire, tradition and a festive atmosphere. With an established career on the Balearic music scene, the group has become one of the most recognisable names on the islands and will accompany the audience until the end of the celebration.<\/p>\n
