The celebration of <strong>Nit de Sant Joan 2026 in Palma (St John&#8217;s Eve, Mallorca\u2019s traditional midsummer celebration)<\/strong>, organised by the <strong>Federaci\u00f3 d\u2019Associacions de Ve\u00efns<\/strong> with the collaboration of Palma <strong>City Council<\/strong>, will take place on <strong>23 June<\/strong> and feature a programme combining popular culture, fire shows, music and activities for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration will begin at <strong>8:00 pm<\/strong> with the lighting of the traditional <strong><em>foguer\u00f3<\/em><\/strong> (bonfire) using the <strong>Flama de la Llengua<\/strong> and will continue with a programme designed for all ages. Children will have their own space with a children\u2019s<em><strong> correfoc<\/strong><\/em> (fire parade) featuring the <em>colles<\/em> (troupes) Enfocats, Kinfumfa, Patits Encabritats and Realment Cremats.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_155433\" style=\"width: 1210px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-155433\" class=\"size-full wp-image-155433\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Revetla-Sant-Joan-.-Ajuntament-de-Palma.webp\" alt=\"Sant Joan Palma\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-155433\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Correfoc during Nit de Sant Joan in Parc de la Mar. Photo: Palma City Council.<\/p><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"1097\">As the evening progresses, the spotlight will fall on some of the most deeply rooted expressions of Mallorcan popular culture. The group <strong>Al-Mayurqa<\/strong> will bring rhythm to the evening with a performance of <strong><em>ball de bot <\/em><\/strong>(traditional Mallorcan folk dance), while this year\u2019s <strong>opening speech<\/strong> will include a touch of humour thanks to a <strong>satirical monologue by Santi Li\u00e9bana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"ehz21s\" data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1083\">The <em>correfoc<\/em> and Xanguito will bring the night to a close<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1428\">One of the most eagerly awaited moments will arrive with the traditional <em><strong>correfoc<\/strong><\/em>, which will once again fill the surroundings of Parc de la Mar with sparks, drums and <em><strong>dimonis<\/strong><\/em> (devils). This year\u2019s edition will feature the <em>colles<\/em> Enfocats, Realment Cremats, Kinfumfa, Ses Germanies, Illa Galera and Male\u00efts Encabritats. Alongside them will parade some of Mallorca\u2019s most emblematic <em><strong>b\u00e8sties de foc <\/strong><\/em>(fire beasts), including Drac i Guardians de Sant Jordi, \u00d2liba de la Real and Es Drac de na Coca, the stars of a spectacle that attracts thousands of people every year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1969\">Music will provide the finale to Nit de Sant Joan 2026 in Palma. Mallorcan band <strong>Xanguito<\/strong> will bring the celebration to a close with a concert that will round off a night marked by fire, tradition and a festive atmosphere.
