The Palma Book Fair 2026 (Fira del Llibre 2026)<\/strong> will once again turn the city centre into one of Mallorca\u2019s major cultural meeting points<\/strong>. Organised by the Gremi de Llibreters de Mallorca<\/strong> with the support of Palma City Council<\/strong> and the Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>, the event will take place from 29 May to 7 June<\/strong> in Pla\u00e7a Espanya<\/strong> and will bring together 16 bookshops<\/strong>, local authors and national guests<\/strong> in a programme featuring more than 40 activities for all audiences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The official opening<\/strong> will take place on Friday 29 May at 6.30 pm<\/strong>, with the opening speech by Fades<\/strong> and a performance by Monkey Doo<\/strong>. That same day, Pla\u00e7a Espanya will remain open until 10.00 pm<\/strong> for a new edition of Nit de Fira<\/strong>, an initiative successfully launched last year.<\/p>\n

More than 40 activities at the Palma Book Fair 2026<\/h2>\n

The programme will include book presentations, author signings, workshops, storytelling sessions, musical performances and family activities<\/strong>. One of the highlights will be the participation of the historic children\u2019s group Cucorba<\/strong>, which will perform just a few months before its final farewell<\/strong> from the stage after half a century of history. One of the main new features of this edition is the return of the institutional stands of the Consell de Mallorca and Palma City Council<\/strong>. The municipal stand will offer readers a selection of publications from the City Council\u2019s own collections, with works dedicated to music, history and Mallorca\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

The municipal library network will also take an active part in the fair, with parallel activities held in different neighbourhoods of Palma.<\/p>\n

Local authors and leading names from the literary scene<\/h2>\n

The Palma Book Fair 2026 will also strengthen its commitment to new local authors, with the participation of writers such as Yunez Chaib, Olivia Lund and Marcos Augusto<\/strong>. The literary programme will be completed with new works by \u00c0lex Fito, Cecilia Navarro and Pere Estelrich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The line-up will also include authors and cultural figures with national and international profiles, such as Miguel Gane, Alina Not, Eudald Espluga and Luciana Peker<\/strong>. In addition, the fair will form part of the Any Blai Bonet<\/strong> programme with a recital<\/strong> organised by the Fundaci\u00f3 Mallorca Liter\u00e0ria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
