The event, one of the most eagerly awaited dates in the <strong>Mallorcan festive calendar<\/strong>, coincides this year with a <strong>very special anniversary<\/strong>: the centenary of the arrival of the <strong>Royal Kidney potato<\/strong> in the marshlands of sa Pobla, the origin of an export activity that shaped the local economy over the <strong>last century<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_155251\" style=\"width: 835px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-155251\" class=\"size-full wp-image-155251\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Sa-Pobla-Patatas.webp\" alt=\"Fira Nocturna de la Patata 2026 de Sa Pobla\" width=\"825\" height=\"463\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-155251\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The <em>poblera<\/em> potato, one of the symbols of sa Pobla. Photo: Consell de Mallorca.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The fair will bring together <strong>bars, restaurants, associations and local producers<\/strong> around the great star of <em>poblera<\/em> gastronomy: the potato.
