This is reflected in the 2025 annual report of the service, presented by its director, <strong>Cati Salom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"929\">In addition to telephone support, the service carried out <strong>631 in-person accompaniments<\/strong>, <strong>2.4% more than in 2024<\/strong>, which means <strong>an average of 53 per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_154800\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-154800\" class=\"wp-image-154800 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Cati-Salom.webp\" alt=\"sexist violence balears 2025\" width=\"780\" height=\"585\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-154800\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The director of IBDONA, Cati Salom. Photo: CAIB.<\/p><\/div>\n<p data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"929\">The unit, made up of <strong>16 professionals<\/strong>, provides specialised care for women victims of sexist violence, including <strong>social and legal information and advice<\/strong>, support in <strong>emergency situations<\/strong>, referral to specific resources and in-person accompaniment. It also <strong>assists children, close contacts, professionals and the general public<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"1141\">Overall, the service received an average of <strong>13 calls a day<\/strong>. Most of the people who contacted the service were the <strong>women themselves<\/strong> (70.8%), followed by <strong>professionals from other services<\/strong> (21.5%). A total of 69.3% of calls were made to the free helpline <strong>900 17 89 89<\/strong>, followed by 112 (17%) and 016 (10.7%).
