The Diumenge de l\u2019\u00c0ngel 2026<\/strong> returns to Palma on Sunday 10 May<\/strong> firmly established as one of the city\u2019s most deeply rooted popular celebrations<\/strong>. It was initially scheduled for 12 April<\/strong>, but due to adverse weather forecasts<\/strong> it has been postponed<\/strong> to the second weekend of May.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people will gather around the Castell de Bellver<\/strong> to take part in a day that combines nature, popular culture and community spirit. Organised by the Federaci\u00f3 d\u2019Associacions de Ve\u00efns de Palma<\/strong>, the event highlights neighbourhood life and the revival of traditions linked to the end of the Holy Week period.<\/p>\n

What is Diumenge de l\u2019\u00c0ngel<\/h3>\n

Revived in 1982, Diumenge de l\u2019\u00c0ngel is a celebration deeply linked to Palma. The day centres on the traditional walk up to the Castell de Bellver, where residents and visitors share an open-air day in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Beyond its festive character, it is a community gathering that underlines collective identity and the role of neighbourhood associations in the city\u2019s social and cultural life.<\/p>\n

A day of activities for all ages<\/h3>\n

The programme retains the essence of the celebration, with activities designed for all ages. Throughout the day there will be traditional music by xeremiers<\/em>, a parade of gegants<\/em> and capgrossos<\/em>, traditional dancing, children\u2019s activities and cultural displays.<\/p>\n

In addition, food stalls will be set up on the esplanade of the castle, offering traditional Easter products such as panades<\/em> and robiols<\/em>.<\/p>\n

How to get to Castell de Bellver<\/h3>\n

To make access easier and reduce the impact on the natural surroundings, a special public transport service will be provided:<\/p>\n

– From 10:30 am to 5:00 pm<\/strong>: free bus service to go up to the Castell, with departures approximately every 10 minutes from Camilo Jos\u00e9 Cela street.<\/p>\n

It is also common to walk up, an option that forms part of the tradition of the day and allows visitors to enjoy the Bellver forest at one of the most pleasant times of the spring.<\/p>\n
