The winners of the 2026 Oscars have now been announced, with One Battle after Another<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson<\/strong>, emerging as the big winner of the night after taking home six statuettes<\/strong> at the 98th edition<\/strong> of the Academy Awards<\/strong>, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film won some of the night\u2019s biggest awards, including Best Picture<\/strong> and Best Director<\/strong> for Paul Thomas Anderson, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay<\/strong>, Best Film Editing<\/strong> and Best Casting<\/strong>. It also received the award for Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn<\/strong>, who now adds a third Academy Award to his career.<\/p>\n

Another of the night\u2019s standout productions was Sinners<\/em><\/strong>, the thriller directed by Ryan Coogler, which won four awards: Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan<\/strong>, Best Original Screenplay<\/strong>, Best Cinematography<\/strong> and Best Original Score<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the leading female acting categories, Jessie Buckley<\/strong> won the Oscar for Best Actress<\/strong> for her performance in Hamnet<\/em><\/strong>, while Amy Madigan<\/strong> took the award for Best Supporting Actress<\/strong> for her role in Weapons<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the winners at the 2026 Oscars, Frankenstein<\/em><\/strong> also stood out. Directed by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, it won three awards in technical categories: Best Costume Design<\/strong>, Best Makeup and Hairstyling<\/strong> and Best Production Design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the Best International Feature Film<\/strong> category, the award went to the Norwegian production Sentimental Value<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Joachim Trier. Among the nominees was the Spanish film Sir\u0101t<\/em>, by director Oliver Laxe.<\/p>\n
