The calendar of public holidays in the Balearic Islands for 2027<\/strong> is now official. The Consell de Govern has approved the twelve public holidays<\/strong> that will apply in the autonomous community during the year, in accordance with current national and regional regulations.<\/p>\n

The proposal was previously agreed with the social partners within the framework of the Mesa Social Tripartita de las Illes Balears<\/strong>, a body made up of the Government, business organisations and trade unions, which gave its approval to the calendar at the meeting held on 5 March 2026.<\/p>\n

The Balearic Islands labour calendar for 2027<\/strong> includes both nationwide public holidays and some traditional celebrations specific to the autonomous community, such as the Dia de les Illes Balears (1 March)<\/strong> and Maundy Thursday (25 March)<\/strong>. Easter Monday (29 March)<\/strong>, which municipalities could normally choose as a local holiday, will become an official public holiday across the entire autonomous community because the Second Day of Christmas (26 December)<\/strong> falls on a Sunday.<\/p>\n
