Eva Lootz<\/strong>, one of the most influential figures in contemporary art in Spain, is opening the exhibition project Lo tengo en la punta de la lengua<\/em><\/strong> (It\u2019s on the Tip of My Tongue) at Casal Solleric<\/strong>. The show, which brings together previously unseen works and pieces conceived specifically for this space<\/strong>, can be visited from today, 5 February<\/strong>, until 12 April 2026<\/strong>, in the Noble Floor<\/strong> of the centre, with free admission<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Curated by Piedad Solans<\/strong> and Fernando G\u00f3mez de la Cuesta<\/strong>, Lo tengo en la punta de la lengua<\/em> explores some of the fundamental axes of Lootz\u2019s practice, with language and writing<\/strong> as its structuring elements. The exhibition proposes a journey in which tongues of lime and earth, texts, quotations and formal games<\/strong> coexist alongside figures made with ropes<\/strong> and sound interventions in uncommon or nearly extinct languages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This combination of elements creates an experience that appeals to both the sensory and the conceptual<\/strong>, reinforcing the poetic and critical dimension<\/strong> of the artist\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

The lime and the link with Mallorca<\/h2>\n

Lime<\/strong>, a material with a strong ethnographic tradition in Mallorca<\/strong>, takes on a special prominence in the project and forms the core of two previously unseen works: Lengua de cal<\/em> and Que cada dolor diga su nombre<\/em>. Through these pieces, Lootz establishes a direct connection with the territory and its material memory, integrating it into a contemporary discourse on the body, the word and pain.<\/p>\n
