strengthens the issuance of the Single Transport Card at the Intermodal Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"259\" data-end=\"610\">The <strong data-start=\"262\" data-end=\"293\">Government of the Balearic Islands<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"299\" data-end=\"324\">Palma City Council<\/strong> have strengthened the issuance service for the <strong data-start=\"368\" data-end=\"408\">Single Public Transport Card<\/strong> with the launch of a <strong data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"493\">new centralized issuance room at the Intermodal Station<\/strong>, a measure that will <strong data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"559\">double the number of available appointments<\/strong> and reduce waiting times for users.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"788\">The Single Card allows travel with a single ticket on <strong data-start=\"666\" data-end=\"744\">train, metro, intercity bus (TIB network) and Palma\u2019s urban bus service (EMT)<\/strong>, facilitating mobility across Mallorca.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"843\">A new room with double the service counters<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"1055\">The reinforcement consists of opening a <strong data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"933\">new centralized issuance room<\/strong> at Palma\u2019s Intermodal Station, which now features <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1028\">10 customer service counters<\/strong>, twice as many as before.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1261\">\n<li data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1143\">\n<p data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1143\">5 counters managed by staff from the <strong data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1143\">Mallorca Transport Consortium (CTM)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1261\">\n<p data-start=\"1146\" data-end=\"1261\">5 new counters staffed by <strong data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1207\">EMT Palma<\/strong> personnel, which has added <strong data-start=\"1223\" data-end=\"1242\">10 workers<\/strong> for this reinforcement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1363\">All counters will operate simultaneously <strong data-start=\"1319\" data-end=\"1340\">from Monday to Saturday<\/strong>, with extended hours:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1469\">\n<li data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1410\">\n<p data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1410\"><strong data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1390\">Monday to Friday:<\/strong> 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1445\">\n<p data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1445\"><strong data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1425\">Saturdays:<\/strong> 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1446\" data-end=\"1469\">\n<p data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1469\"><strong data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1461\">Sundays:<\/strong> closed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1471\" data-end=\"1645\">Thanks to this expansion, around <strong data-start=\"1516\" data-end=\"1553\">400 additional appointments per day<\/strong> can be offered, increasing from <strong data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1618\">just over 2,000 weekly appointments to more than 5,000<\/strong> at the Intermodal Station.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1647\" data-end=\"1696\">More than 63,000 cards issued since October<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-152244 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/palma-tarjeta-transporte-intermodal.webp\" alt=\"single transport card in mallorca\" width=\"1100\" height=\"733\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1869\">Since the launch of the Single Card at the beginning of October, <strong data-start=\"1782\" data-end=\"1808\">more than 63,500 cards<\/strong> have already been issued, of which <strong data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1868\">46,000 are first-time issuances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"2078\">Using a single card across all public transport networks in Mallorca enables a <strong data-start=\"1966\" data-end=\"2010\">faster, more convenient and more efficient operation<\/strong>, improving the experience for both regular and occasional users.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2080\" data-end=\"2129\">Other places to apply for the Single Card<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2131\" data-end=\"2226\">In addition to the Intermodal Station, the Single Card can be processed at other locations across the island:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2228\" data-end=\"2497\">\n<li data-start=\"2228\" data-end=\"2283\">\n<p data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2283\"><strong data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2283\">EMT Palma Customer Service Office<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2343\">\n<p data-start=\"2286\" data-end=\"2343\">Offices of the <strong data-start=\"2301\" data-end=\"2312\">TIB network<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"2316\" data-end=\"2343\">Alc\u00fadia, Inca and Manacor<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2344\" data-end=\"2423\">\n<p data-start=\"2346\" data-end=\"2423\">Municipal offices of the town councils of <strong data-start=\"2391\" data-end=\"2423\">Calvi\u00e0, Llucmajor and Marratx\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2497\">\n<p data-start=\"2564\" data-end=\"2631\">End of the Citizen Card as a transport ticket on EMT buses<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"2898\">This service reinforcement comes at a key moment in the transition process. From <strong data-start=\"2724\" data-end=\"2740\">April<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"2848\">Palma Citizen Card will no longer be valid as a transport ticket on EMT buses<\/strong>, although it will continue to be used for other municipal purposes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2900\" data-end=\"2916\">For this reason:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"3203\">\n<li data-start=\"2918\" data-end=\"3051\">\n<p data-start=\"2920\" data-end=\"3051\">Users of the <strong data-start=\"2936\" data-end=\"2990\">Citizen Card who do not have an Intermodal Card<\/strong> must apply for the new <strong data-start=\"3016\" data-end=\"3051\">Single Card free of charge<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3052\" data-end=\"3203\">\n<p data-start=\"3054\" data-end=\"3203\">Users who <strong data-start=\"3071\" data-end=\"3114\">already have an Intermodal Card (TIB)<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"3115\" data-end=\"3151\">do not need to take any action<\/strong>, as this card remains fully valid<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3205\" data-end=\"3431\">The Citizen Card will continue to be used for other services, such as requesting the <strong data-start=\"3294\" data-end=\"3335\">residency certificate for travel<\/strong> or functions related to <strong data-start=\"3364\" data-end=\"3387\">waste management<\/strong>, such as opening the brown organic waste containers.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3433\" data-end=\"3492\">Another step towards integrating public transport<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3494\" data-end=\"3715\">The implementation of the Single Card is the result of the <strong data-start=\"3543\" data-end=\"3600\">collaboration agreement signed in November 2024<\/strong> between the Government and Palma City Council for the <strong data-start=\"3652\" data-end=\"3691\">technological and fare integration<\/strong> of the TIB and EMT networks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3717\" data-end=\"3977\">With this reinforcement of the issuance service, both administrations are moving forward in <strong data-start=\"3798\" data-end=\"3842\">improving the public transport system<\/strong>, focusing on institutional coordination, digitalization and simpler, more accessible mobility for residents and visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government of the Balearic Islands and the Palma City <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/palma-emision-tarjeta-unica-intermodal\/\"> [&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":152245,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1515],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-152248","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economy-and-tourism"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
