{"id":152166,"date":"2026-01-19T10:05:25","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T09:05:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/balears-en-fitur-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-01-28T09:22:34","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T08:22:34","slug":"balears-en-fitur-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/balears-en-fitur-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Balears at FITUR 2026: culture, gastronomy and sustainability as the pillars of the tourism strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"730\">Balears will once again be present at the <strong data-start=\"478\" data-end=\"525\">International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) 2026<\/strong>, held in Madrid from <strong data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"577\">21 to 25 January<\/strong>, with a proposal focused on <strong data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"675\">culture as a driver of tourism during the low season<\/strong>, local gastronomy and destination sustainability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"928\">Balears\u2019 participation in FITUR 2026 aims to strengthen its positioning within the national market, betting on a more diversified tourism model aligned with seasonality reduction.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"992\">An accessible and sustainable stand for Balears at FITUR 2026<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-152162\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/baleares-en-fitur.webp\" alt=\"baleares en fitur\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1214\">Balears\u2019 presence at FITUR revolves around a <strong data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1082\">stand of more than 1,000 m\u00b2<\/strong>, fully accessible and financed with funds from the <strong data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1211\">Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan \u2013 EU Next Generation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1428\">It is the same design unveiled in the previous edition, inspired by <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1340\">water and the care of natural resources<\/strong>, with a clear commitment to sustainability both in materials and in the construction process.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1460\">The space is organised into:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1461\" data-end=\"1698\">\n<li data-start=\"1461\" data-end=\"1529\">\n<p data-start=\"1463\" data-end=\"1529\">Distinct areas for <strong data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1529\">Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1530\" data-end=\"1576\">\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1576\">A <strong data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1552\">central agora<\/strong> as a meeting point<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1622\">\n<p data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1622\">Meeting, presentation and press rooms<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1698\">\n<p data-start=\"1625\" data-end=\"1698\">A dedicated space for <strong data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1698\">gastronomic activities and local products<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1769\">Town councils, companies and radio stations present at the Balears stand<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1771\" data-end=\"1824\">The Balears stand will feature the participation of:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"2110\">\n<li data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1859\">\n<p data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1859\"><strong data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1859\">12 town councils from Mallorca<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1900\">\n<p data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"1900\"><strong data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"1900\">All town councils from Menorca<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1901\" data-end=\"1989\">\n<p data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1989\"><strong data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1932\">14 private co-exhibitors<\/strong> from the tourism, hotel, mobility and experiences sectors<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2110\">\n<p data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2110\"><strong data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2018\">Five radio booths<\/strong>, from which different local stations will broadcast live during the fair<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2292\">To facilitate professional activity, a <strong data-start=\"2173\" data-end=\"2204\">table booking system<\/strong> has been enabled, allowing companies and entities to organise work meetings efficiently.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2294\" data-end=\"2356\">Culture at FITUR 2026: Balears strengthens its cultural commitment<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2358\" data-end=\"2686\">One of the central pillars of Balears at FITUR 2026 will be <strong data-start=\"2417\" data-end=\"2428\">culture<\/strong>. In this context, the Govern will hold an <strong data-start=\"2468\" data-end=\"2536\">institutional event at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE)<\/strong>, focused on presenting the agreement with the Pro-RAE Foundation, which will allow Balears to regain its presence on the institution\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2688\" data-end=\"2705\">The event will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2706\" data-end=\"2868\">\n<li data-start=\"2706\" data-end=\"2791\">\n<p data-start=\"2708\" data-end=\"2791\">A tribute to <strong data-start=\"2722\" data-end=\"2739\">Antonio Maura<\/strong>, marking the centenary of his death<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"2868\">\n<p data-start=\"2794\" data-end=\"2868\">A <strong data-start=\"2797\" data-end=\"2837\">piano concert by Marco Mezquida<\/strong> in the RAE\u2019s auditorium<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2870\" data-end=\"2932\">Gastronomy and local products: showcookings and tastings at FITUR<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2934\" data-end=\"3108\">For the second consecutive year, Balears will feature its own <strong data-start=\"2986\" data-end=\"3020\">wine and gastronomy space<\/strong> within the stand, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Natural Environment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3110\" with wines from the <strong data-start=\"3277\" data-end=\"3325\">PGIs of Ibiza, Formentera, Menorca and Mallorca<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"3332\" data-end=\"3350\">Binissalem
