The future Campos ITV will be a <strong>permanent mobile facility<\/strong> with capacity to carry out up to <strong>5,000 inspections per month<\/strong>. This infrastructure will <strong>help ease pressure on the most overloaded stations in the Part Forana<\/strong>, especially those in Manacor and Inca, and make this service more accessible for drivers in the <strong>south of Mallorca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_116142\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-116142\" class=\"size-full wp-image-116142\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Estacion-ITV-Calvia-6.webp\" alt=\"ITV station in Calvi\u00e0\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-116142\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s (centre), during the inauguration of the ITV station in Calvi\u00e0. Photo: Consell de Mallorca.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The station will be located on a municipal plot of <strong>12,700 square metres<\/strong>, situated between the <strong>municipal sports centre<\/strong> and the <strong>Punt Verd<\/strong>, an area with good access. The land is being ceded for an initial period of <strong>four years, renewable<\/strong>, to host this infrastructure, which will also serve nearby municipalities such as <strong>Llucmajor, Felanitx, ses Salines, Santany\u00ed and Porreres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Timeline and preparatory works for the Campos ITV<\/h3>\n<p>The Consell de Mallorca will carry out the <strong>works needed to prepare the site<\/strong>, with a budget of <strong>\u20ac250,000<\/strong>. The project includes surfacing the areas where the inspection lanes, offices and parking will be located, as well as installing electricity, water and lighting across the entire site.<\/p>\n<p>The project is currently in the <strong>tendering phase<\/strong> and, as planned, works could begin between late January and early February. Once the site preparation is complete, the concessionaire for Mallorca\u2019s ITV service, <strong>Itevebasa<\/strong>, will install a canopy with <strong>four inspection lanes for light vehicles<\/strong>, for both cars and motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>The new station, which is expected to come into operation <strong>shortly before summer 2026<\/strong>, will be particularly important in easing the load on the Manacor and Inca stations, the most saturated on the island.<\/p>\n<h3>Reducing pressure on the Part Forana<\/h3>\n<p>The president of the Consell, <strong>Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s<\/strong>, said that Campos \u201cis the <strong>key hub<\/strong> for installing a new ITV station, as the Part Forana stations are the ones we have most overloaded and this will help <strong>relieve them<\/strong>.\u201d He also recalled that \u201cthis was a <strong>term pledge<\/strong> that is now taking its first step, with the ultimate aim that the municipality of Campos and the surrounding towns (Llucmajor, Felanitx, ses Salines, Santany\u00ed and Porreres) have a permanent ITV service that is much more <strong>nearby and efficient<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The future Campos ITV will also help to reduce waiting times.
