This decision has led to <strong>the postponement of the start of the application process<\/strong>, initially scheduled for <strong>20 December<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-43444 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/foto-turismo-1024x682.jpeg\" alt=\"tourism Mallorca\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Governing Board of the Tourist Accommodation Places Pool Consortium (CBAT)<\/strong> approved today, Thursday, a delay in the call in order to <strong>avoid technical failures<\/strong> and to strengthen <strong>legal certainty<\/strong> and <strong>transparency<\/strong>. The Department of Tourism of the Consell de Mallorca, in coordination with the Island Directorate for Modernisation, Transparency and Innovation, is developing a new <strong>technological procedure, more robust and advanced<\/strong>, aimed at guaranteeing the integrity of every stage and ensuring fair access to the process.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A new procedure for tourist accommodation places in Mallorca<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This initiative is particularly significant within the framework of the <strong>new model for managing tourist accommodation places in Mallorca<\/strong>, approved by the Consell last <strong>June<\/strong>, and follows <strong>incidents detected in previous processes<\/strong>. The aim is to implement a system that avoids technical errors and ensures a <strong>well-organised, transparent procedure with full legal guarantees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It should be recalled that the Consell de Mallorca eliminated a total of <strong>18,000 tourist accommodation places on the island<\/strong> in that same month of June, representing a reduction of <strong>4.2%<\/strong>. Specifically, the <strong>cap<\/strong> on tourist accommodation places will fall from the current 430,000 to around <strong>412,000 in total<\/strong>, of which approximately <strong>308,000<\/strong> belong to the <strong>hotel sector<\/strong> and the remaining <strong>104,000<\/strong> to <strong>holiday rentals<\/strong>.
