The investment amounts to <strong>\u20ac3.6 million<\/strong>, and the works will be carried out <strong>throughout 2026<\/strong>. Photo: PalmaActiva.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The refurbishment aims to modernise the facilities in order to create a more comfortable and safer space for users, focusing on three main areas: <strong>air conditioning, user information and the creation of new spaces<\/strong>. These measures, implemented through the <strong>Consorci de Transports de Mallorca<\/strong> (CTM) and <strong>Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca<\/strong> (SFM), will transform the Intermodal Station into a <strong>more modern, accessible and safer space<\/strong>, according to Government sources. It should be noted that the station has seen a significant increase in users, both residents and visitors, <strong>almost tripling its numbers in six years<\/strong>, from <strong>5.8 million in 2019<\/strong> to the <strong>16.5 million<\/strong> expected by the end of <strong>2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project forms part of the Government\u2019s infrastructure plan and is funded through the island factor and Next Generation EU funds.
