Water reserves in the Balearic Islands<\/strong> have improved significantly during November<\/strong>, reaching 48% of capacity<\/strong>. This figure is four percentage points higher than in October. This increase means that Ibiza leaves the alert status<\/strong> and moves to a pre-alert scenario, providing relief for water management in the Pityusic Islands.<\/p>\n

\"Water<\/p>\n

The trend has been positive across virtually the entire archipelago. In Mallorca<\/strong>, reserves have risen from 44% to 48%; in Menorca<\/strong>, from 43% to 44%; and in Ibiza<\/strong>, from 39% to 47%, recording the most notable increase of the month.<\/p>\n

There have also been increases in most demand units (DUs)<\/strong>, such as Menorca, Art\u00e0, Manacor-Felanitx, Migjorn, Palma-Alc\u00fadia, Tramuntana North, Tramuntana South and Ibiza. Particularly relevant is the case of the Migjorn DU<\/strong>, which has returned to a normal situation. By contrast, Formentera<\/strong> is the only unit showing a slight decline.<\/p>\n

Current water situation in the Balearic Islands<\/h3>\n

At present, 16.7% of the territory<\/strong> (Migjorn and Formentera) is in a normal<\/strong> status, 67.1%<\/strong> (Menorca, Manacor-Felanitx, Palma-Alc\u00fadia, Tramuntana North, Tramuntana South and Ibiza) is in pre-alert<\/strong>, and 16.2%<\/strong> (Es Pla and Art\u00e0) remains in alert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The overall index for the Hydrographic Demarcation<\/strong> stands at 0.396<\/strong>, a lower value than a year ago (0.495) and two years ago (0.454), although it reflects a moderately positive trend compared with previous months.<\/p>\n

Normal rainfall and a stable outlook<\/h3>\n

According to data from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET)<\/strong>, November was a month of normal rainfall<\/strong> across the Balearic Islands, with an average of 70.8 l\/m\u00b2<\/strong>, compared with the usual 94.3 l\/m\u00b2. By island, Mallorca recorded normal values, Menorca had a wet month, while Ibiza and Formentera experienced a dry and very dry November, respectively.<\/p>\n

Despite this, the interannual precipitation percentage<\/strong> remains at 94%<\/strong>, with standout values in the Pityusic Islands (130%). The month\u2019s average temperature<\/strong> was 14.4 \u00baC<\/strong>, within the normal range.<\/p>\n

No major changes expected in December<\/h3>\n

Looking ahead to December, and taking seasonal trends into account, forecasts suggest that water reserves in the Balearic Islands will remain at similar levels<\/strong>, with no significant changes expected in the current scenarios.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
