\nThe Consell de Mallorca<\/strong> has confirmed the removal<\/strong> of more than 2,300 listings hosted on the Airbnb platform<\/strong> that did not have a tourist registration number<\/strong>. These are the first results of the second phase<\/strong> of the agreement signed between the island institution and the company, which is leading to the withdrawal of thousands of irregular listings from the website.\n<\/p>\n

\nThese removals represent a decisive step in the collaboration between both parties to combat illegal holiday rentals on the island<\/strong>. Airbnb maintains its commitment<\/strong> to deactivate any listing that does not include the mandatory registration number issued by the Consell de Mallorca.\n<\/p>\n

\nIn this way, the company is complying with the agreement reached with the island institution and has carried out a \u201cfirm and unprecedented\u201d action to ensure that the online tourism offer operates legally and remains compatible with the protection of the territory and the quality of life of local residents.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe Minister for Tourism, Jos\u00e9 Marcial Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, expressed his satisfaction and stated that \u201cthis is the definitive step towards eradicating it \u2014 there will be no truce<\/strong>. This agreement with Airbnb is already bearing fruit and proves that public\u2013private collaboration is the way forward<\/strong> to protect our tourism model, ensure compliance with regulations, and continue strengthening the quality of life of all Mallorca residents.\u201d<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\nRodr\u00edguez also added that \u201cthe removal of unlicensed listings is a decisive action<\/strong> that reinforces our goal of promoting harmony on our island, for the benefit of the local community and all platform users.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
