The event, organised by the <strong>Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)<\/strong>, aims to raise funds for research and provide support to those affected by the disease.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_149845\" style=\"width: 790px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-149845\" class=\"size-full wp-image-149845\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Presentacion-X-Marcha-contra-el-cancer.webp\" alt=\"March Against Cancer\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-149845\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Consell de Mallorca.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The event, now established as one of the most popular charity and sporting activities on the island\u2019s calendar, will bring together <strong>thousands of participants<\/strong> in a festive atmosphere of social commitment. The day will feature <strong>two main events<\/strong>, both starting and finishing on <strong>Avinguda Antoni Maura<\/strong>, next to <strong>Parc de la Mar<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Open Race<\/strong> of <strong>8 kilometres<\/strong>, starting at <strong>9:00 a.m.<\/strong>, with two laps of a closed urban circuit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Popular Walk<\/strong> of <strong>4 kilometres<\/strong>, non-competitive and open to all ages, starting at <strong>11:30 a.m.<\/strong> with <strong>one lap<\/strong> of the urban circuit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As the main novelty of this edition, there will be <strong>children\u2019s races<\/strong> for the first time, open to boys and girls aged <strong>3 to 12 years<\/strong>. All participants up to 14 years old will receive a <strong>commemorative T-shirt and a medal<\/strong>, aiming to encourage family participation and promote healthy lifestyles from an early age.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Category <strong>3\u20134 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>10:30 a.m.<\/strong> (50 metres)<\/li>\n<li>Category <strong>5\u20136 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>10:40 a.m.<\/strong> (100 metres)<\/li>\n<li>Category <strong>7\u20138 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>10:50 a.m.<\/strong> (300 metres)<\/li>\n<li>Category <strong>9\u201310 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>10:50 a.m.<\/strong> (300 metres)<\/li>\n<li>Category <strong>11\u201312 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>11:05 a.m.<\/strong> (750 metres)<\/li>\n<li>Category <strong>13\u201314 years<\/strong> \u2013 at <strong>11:05 a.m.<\/strong> (750 metres)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Online registration available at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elitechip.net\/index.php?zwshow=compdet&amp;idcomp=7011998&amp;compsec=signup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this link<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Support from the Consell de Mallorca<\/h2>\n<p>The race is supported by the <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>, which also backs the children\u2019s events within this edition\u2019s programme.
