The City Council of Palma<\/strong> will carry out an ambitious project to improve the access routes and restore the natural surroundings of the Castell de Bellver<\/strong>, with a total investment of 2.9 million euros<\/strong>, of which 2 million<\/strong> come from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Bellver<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to enhance the connection between Bellver Forest and the city<\/strong>, make the castle\u2019s access more inclusive and preserve its valuable forest environment<\/strong>, one of Palma\u2019s main green lungs.<\/p>\n

Improvement of access and promotion of sustainable mobility<\/h3>\n

The project includes the remodelling of the parking area<\/strong> and the upgrading of the main access<\/strong> to the Castell de Bellver, removing architectural barriers and ensuring compliance with current accessibility standards.<\/p>\n

In addition, the phase IV of the perimeter path<\/strong> will be carried out to improve the connection between the forest and the urban area. The plan also includes new accessible routes for pedestrians<\/strong>, aiming to promote sustainable mobility<\/strong> and offer a more comfortable and safer experience for both residents and visitors.<\/p>\n

Restoration of the natural environment and fire protection<\/h3>\n

The City Council of Palma<\/strong> will also promote the restoration of the natural environment<\/strong> of the Bellver Forest<\/strong> through reforestation in eroded areas<\/strong>, removal of invasive species<\/strong> and improvement of the forest mass<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the environmental measures, the project highlights the installation of a new network of fire hydrants<\/strong> and the implementation of actions included in the Forest Self-Protection Plan<\/strong>, aimed at strengthening fire safety and facilitating the access of emergency vehicles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
