The meeting was held at the <strong data-start=\"323\" data-end=\"375\">Ministry of Enterprise, Self-Employed and Energy<\/strong>, with representatives from the <strong>island councils<\/strong>, <strong>trade unions<\/strong> and <strong>industry associations<\/strong> attending.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"651\" data-end=\"705\">Authorised days for commercial openings in 2026<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"793\">The opening schedule for commercial businesses in the Balearic Islands 2026 includes the following days:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"1349\">\n<li data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"837\">\n<p data-start=\"797\" data-end=\"837\"><strong data-start=\"797\" data-end=\"811\">4 January<\/strong>: Sunday before Epiphany.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"866\">\n<p data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"866\"><strong data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"855\">18 January<\/strong>: Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"894\">\n<p data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"894\"><strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"883\">8 March<\/strong>: Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"927\">\n<p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"927\"><strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"911\">2 April<\/strong>: Maundy Thursday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"1027\">\n<p data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"1027\"><strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"946\">15 August<\/strong>: Saturday, Assumption Day <em data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1025\">(may be substituted by local councils).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1144\">\n<p data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1144\"><strong data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1049\">6 September<\/strong>: Sunday before the start of the school term <em data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1142\">(may be substituted by local councils).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1202\">\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1202\"><strong data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1166\">29 November<\/strong>: Sunday after Black Friday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1249\">\n<p data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1249\"><strong data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1223\">6 December<\/strong>: Constitution Day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1282\">\n<p data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1282\"><strong data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1271\">20 December<\/strong>: Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1283\" data-end=\"1349\">\n<p data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1349\"><strong data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1304\">26 December<\/strong>: Saturday, Second Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1988\">The schedule establishes that <strong data-start=\"1822\" data-end=\"1838\">15 August<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1860\">6 September<\/strong> may be substituted by other public holidays at the discretion of the <strong data-start=\"1921\" data-end=\"1938\">local councils<\/strong>, providing greater flexibility at the local level.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1785\" data-end=\"1988\">The Director-General of Enterprise, Self-Employed and Commerce, <strong>Pedrona Segu\u00ed<\/strong>, wished to congratulate all representatives of the commercial sector in the Balearic Islands &#8220;for their goodwill and positive approach in reaching an agreement to finalise a <strong>beneficial schedule<\/strong> with the approval of all those present&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Inter-Island Advisory Commission on Commerce has unanimously approved the <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/en\/calendario-apertura-comercial-balears-2026\/\"> [&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":42782,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1515,1513],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-149539","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-economy-and-tourism","category-society"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
