According to the holiday rental portal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holidu.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"386\" data-end=\"396\">Holidu<\/strong><\/a>, the average nightly cost falls from <strong data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"469\">\u20ac293 in August<\/strong> to <strong data-start=\"431\" data-end=\"469\">\u20ac192 in October<\/strong>, representing a decrease of <strong data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"509\">34%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-149503 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcaglobalmag.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Casa-Vacacional-Holidu-ID-44241911.webp\" alt=\"tourist rentals\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1038\">The report indicates that the <strong data-start=\"559\" data-end=\"579\">east<\/strong> of Mallorca remains the <strong>most affordable area<\/strong> on the island, with an average price of <strong data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"673\">\u20ac167 per night<\/strong>, roughly a third less than in summer. Meanwhile, the <strong data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"744\">north<\/strong> sees the <strong>largest discounts<\/strong>, with a reduction of <strong data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"809\">43%<\/strong>, bringing the average nightly price to <strong data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"858\">\u20ac184 per night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1038\">Palma and Alc\u00fadia, favourite autumn destinations<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"&quot;1608\">International search data confirms that <strong data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1446\">Palma<\/strong> is the most popular destination in Mallorca during October. The average price in the Balearic capital is <strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1572\">\u20ac250 per night<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1605\">22% less than in summer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1761\"><strong>Alc\u00fadia<\/strong> ranks as the <strong data-start=\"1627\" data-end=\"1659\">second most popular destination<\/strong> and stands out with a significant discount: a <strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1719\">44% saving<\/strong> compared with the summer months, with an average price of <strong data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1234\">\u20ac177 per night<\/strong>. Following Alc\u00fadia are <strong>Pollen\u00e7a<\/strong> (<strong>\u20ac192<\/strong>, <strong>\u221244%<\/strong>) and <strong>Santany\u00ed<\/strong> (<strong data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1323\">\u20ac185<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1323\">\u221233%<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1761\">Also noteworthy is <strong data-start=\"1781\" data-end=\"1791\">S\u00f3ller<\/strong>, which sees a more moderate reduction of <strong data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1833\">15%<\/strong>, but remains in high demand during autumn thanks to its location in the <strong data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"1921\">Serra de Tramuntana<\/strong>, ideal for hiking, with an average price of <strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1557\">\u20ac234 per night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1562\" data-end=\"1613\">Strategies of hosts during the low season<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1614\" data-end=\"1680\">A survey by Holidu among hosts in the Balearics reveals that:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"2007\">\n<li data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"1733\">\n<p data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1733\">43% rent out their properties all year round.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1825\">\n<p data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1825\">71% adjust prices or offer discounts for longer stays during the low season.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1826\" data-end=\"1886\">\n<p data-start=\"1828\" data-end=\"1886\">18% expand the availability of their calendars.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1887\" data-end=\"1948\">\n<p data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"1948\">8% apply more flexible cancellation policies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"2007\">\n<p data-start=\"1951\" data-end=\"2007\">Only 5% target their offer to digital nomads.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method of data collection by Holidu<\/h3>\n<p>Holidu&#8217;s data were obtained from its holiday rental database on 29 September 2025, calculating the <strong data-start=\"212\" data-end=\"238\">average nightly price<\/strong> for properties accommodating 2 to 5 people in August and October. Outliers were excluded to ensure reliability, and the destination rankings were based on international searches for stays between 1 October and 15 November.
